About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to take full responsibility for a 24-shed poultry operation located in the Tamworth region.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a small on-farm team and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring strong performance across production, animal welfare, safety, and compliance.

This is a practical leadership role requiring a strong on-farm presence and a proactive, accountable approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day farm operations
  • Drive best practice standards in bird welfare, productivity, and safety
  • Oversee feed systems, silos, sheds, and infrastructure
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a small team
  • Deliver production targets and operational KPIs
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance and performance reporting
  • Manage labour planning and rostering
  • Implement preventative and reactive maintenance programs
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment

About You

You are a practical, hands-on leader who thrives in a structured, performance driven environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in poultry or intensive livestock production
  • Proven ability to deliver against production and performance targets
  • Strong leadership capability with a small team
  • Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of operations
  • A strong commitment to workplace health & safety
  • Solid computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • A reliable, accountable work ethic with a focus on outcomes
  • Formal qualifications in agriculture, poultry, or livestock management are highly regarded.
