Our client, a leader in Australian industry, has a strong footprint in the broiler production sector. With established investments across Australian agricultural assets, the business is focused on consolidating their current operations, and building the capability and efficiency of their operations. To support these plans, they are seeking a dedicated and committed individual to join the team in the role of Farm Manager at their Attunga site in New South Wales.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Farm Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the farm. Leading a small team, the role is accountable for delivering consistent, high-quality production outcomes in line with company standards, animal welfare requirements, and safety obligations.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a strong on-farm presence, active involvement in daily operations, and close collaboration with Assistant Farm Manager to ensure productivity, compliance, and asset integrity are maintained. Housing, utilities, and an on-farm vehicle are provided as part of a comprehensive employment package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain best-practice operating procedures with a primary focus on bird welfare, productivity, and workplace safety;
  • Oversee daily farm operations, including feed systems, silos, and infrastructure;
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a small team to achieve production targets and operational objectives;
  • Ensure accurate completion of all compliance, production, and performance reporting;
  • Collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities, and work with them to create a safe workplace;
  • Champion animal welfare in all endeavours;
  • Develop and execute preventative and reactive maintenance programs;
  • Manage labour planning and rostering to meet operational requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications in poultry production or livestock management ideal;
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results and reporting against key performance indicators in the intensive protein production space;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in an unsupervised environment;
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with an exemplary safety record;
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Practical, accountable leadership style with a strong work ethic;
  • A passion for teamwork to achieve commercial and ethical goals and delivery profitable outcomes.
